FamilyReunited Initiative exists to help families stay together - safely, sustainably, and with the support they need to thrive. We believe that the best way to support children is to ensure that families who have reunified remain strong and stable long after a case closes.
Too often, families enter or reenter foster care not because of a lack of love, but because of unmet needs: housing instability, financial strain, limited access to services, or lack of community support. At FamilyReunited Initiative, we work alongside Sonoma County families to address these challenges, helping prevent unnecessary separation and reducing the risk of children returning to care.
Whether a family is at risk of entering the system or working hard to stay together after reunification, we provide practical, compassionate support to strengthen the home before crisis escalates.
Our approach focuses on prevention, stabilization, and long-term resilience. We help families meet immediate needs like food, furniture & housewares, and utilities - while also connecting them to the services and resources that create lasting security.
By stepping in early and walking alongside families through challenges, we help build the conditions children need to remain safely at home.
